I live in CA and am looking to buy a teddy bear faced pomeranian. I am looking for the characteristics of a smaller, more flat snout. I have been looking all over the internet but can’t seem to find a reputable breeder. Because I am having a hard time finding one, I am starting to wonder if they are more associated with toy poms/ having health problems. I have found tons of breeders that breed the traditional fox face poms but not the teddy bear/ babydoll face poms. My fiance and I love the teddy bear look but if it comes at the expense of the dogs health, we will choose the more traditional look. If you have any information/advice/helpful tips please share!!
Real, good breeders breed dogs based on what the standard for them says they should be bred, and good breeders breed these dogs to the conformation they are supposed to have. Good breeders don’t breed dogs just so they have bizarre features are strange looking eyes..ect. Good breeders breed the dogs to the correct conformation set for them and breed them for the correct health, and temperament of the breed.
Most of the traits you have listed, are traits uncommon or not found in well bred Pomeranian’s and the only kind of Pom you are going to get that fits your criteria is by getting one from a backyard breeder, who breeds crap dogs with faulty standards and conformation.
Well bred Poms do NOT have flat snouts and anyone who is breeding dogs with flat snouts is breeding badly bred dogs. Please look up the standard on the AKC website of WELL BRED Poms and stay away from people who breed crap dogs for looks only.Tags: pomeranian
